The design team at Statista+, comprising editors, graphic designers, and marketing consultants, specializes in the optimal presentation of data, facts, and analyses. Embracing the concept of “Creative Data Storytelling,” the team creates customized content such as infographics, whitepapers, explainer videos, and more, that effectively reaches and engages the target audience. As the Head of Advertising, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving our advertising efforts. Your leadership will set the tone for innovation and success within the advertising sector for the global platform of Statista. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establish and manage a skilled team, ensuring seamless coordination of responsibilities and processes while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Create and implement comprehensive strategies to grow our data-centered advertising and targeting initiatives in collaboration with internal stakeholders and other business units.
  • Build and nurture relationships with customers, service providers and yield partners to expand our market reach. Negotiate terms and ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Design and deliver cutting-edge advertising and targeting products that meet client needs and position us as a provider with a clear and compelling value proposition.
  • Train and brief sales teams to excel in managing internationally significant accounts, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge needed to thrive.

  • In-depth knowledge of monetizing inventory through programmatic advertising
  • Comprehensive understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, including relevant KPI for monetization and data products
  • Proven experience of working with yield partners, media agencies, and technical service providers
  • 5 years of professional experience in programmatic advertising within media agencies, publishers, or AdTech companies
  • Optional but preferred: University degree or provable education in media-related fields
