The position contains the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the two locations AZ-Runding and AZ-Horšovský Týn ensuring high quality output and continous improvement
- Define, implement and continuously review the plant strategy following a goal alignment principle, that is according to the corporate objectives and Continental values, starting from the top-down guidelines and breaking it down accordingly into middle management and shopfloor goals
- Ensure annual budget planning and execution (cost, quality, production volumes, machines and capacities, headcount, etc.)
- Adapt plant resources according to the market requirements, striving for maximizing productivity and financial efficiency through costs optimization
- Drive organizational development by creating a strong and effective organization promoting a culture based on Continental's values
- Lead, develop and coach the management team
- Ensure the compliance with all ESH (Environmental safety, Security, Health) regulations in cooperation with local and central ESH functions
- Further development of the locations towards sustainability in accordance with Group guidelines
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal Group regulations
- Promotion of cooperation with internal mold manufacturers (VFC, EMT)
- Promotion of constructive cooperation with the works council
- Represent the locations in industrial and employers' associations, towards government authorities and the general public
- Academic degree in engineering, business, chemistry or related degree
- Several years of experience in a manufacturing context, preferable in metal processing
- Several years of leadership experience, preferably in leading international teams
- Broad business experience and cross move(s) as well as profound background in quality
- Very good knowledge in driving organizational transformation
- Fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken)
- Strong in establishing direction and driving execution
- High ability to master strategic relationships and drive innovation
