We are looking for a motivated Service Engineer to join our team and play an important role in project-focused activities for a variety of medical devices made at our German sites. This position gives you the chance to lead meaningful initiatives, including the implementation of the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and the complete lifecycle management of our service products. Work with international teams and help create solutions that meet global standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the Service Engineering department in the MDR program by managing SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) introduction and maintenance, ensuring accurate and complete documentation
- Contribute to New Repair Introduction (NRI) by completing work packages, working with Service Business Centers (SBCs) and preparing technical documentation
- Manage the lifecycle of service products, including handling changes, product discontinuations and corrective actions like recalls or modifications
- Ensure key service documents such as manuals, parts lists and repair data are distributed to all relevant stakeholders
- Collaborate with different departments and international teams to deliver project-specific service solutions
- Find and implement service process improvements and integrate "Design for Service" practices in development projects
- Provide training and resources for service technicians with clear and detailed documentation
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical or business-related field
- Several years of experience in engineering, medical technology or ideally service engineering
- Familiarity with MDR regulations, product structures, SKUs and master data management
- Technical expertise, preferably in medical devices or a related area
- Excellent English skills; German advantageous
- Strong cultural awareness and effective communication skills in an international, interdisciplinary setting
- Proactive mindset with enthusiasm for technical service solutions and project management
