In EU, we continue to observe an unprecedented wave of legislation that impacts Selling Partner (SP) experience, constrains selection and jeopardizes growth. This increases the complexity and cost of selling in EU and makes compliance the primary barrier to SP launches in the region.
As a Derisking Manager in EU3P Compliance programs - you will define the strategy and execution plans to programmatically scale or support a tax or trade compliance program across EU and UK. You will partner with peers and other organizations to (1) define the seller experience and engagement programs to increase compliance, (2) shape the risk appetite for executive leadership, (3) design and implement the seller enforcement and regain strategy for EU and UK marketplaces, (4) design, implement and lead simplification initiatives and (5) support defining control and auditing strategies so they continuously raise remaining risks and develop mitigations.
Key job responsibilities
- develop the seller experience together with product management and create engagement plans to increase compliance
- shape the risk appetite for executive leadership,
- design and implement the seller enforcement and regain strategy for EU and UK marketplaces including reporting mechanisms,
- design, implement and lead simplification initiatives based on customer or team feedback and
- support defining controls and auditing strategies so they continuously raise remaining risks and develop mitigations
A day in the life
In the morning you will check in with the horizon scanning team to understand what new legislations are coming up. Afterwards you have a meeting with tax planning and legal colleagues to get their view on requirements for the new legislation.
You spend the rest of the morning drafting the corner stones of the strategy for the legislation and in the afternoon review it with peers and your managers to understand where it can be further improved. In the afternoon you talk to a seller engagement associate to hear what issues they usually have with similar legislations and revise your engagement strategy accordingly including how many people will be needed and what business impact it will have.
Lastly you sync with a colleague on program governance, write down potential risk and plan for an auditing process of the new legislation.
The ideal candidate is motivated and agile, with strong project management skills. This opportunity requires excellent troubleshooting, stakeholder management and communication skills.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in sales or marketing work (like e-commerce, retail technology, SaaS) or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in business-to-business selling or equivalent
- Experience translating customer needs into business requirements
- Experience working with legal, product, and internal business owners to reach mutually beneficial agreements
- Experience in SQL to be autonomous in getting the right data to support decisions.
