Building solutions for a better life. The Bosch Building Technologies division is a leading international provider of systems, solutions and services that increase the safety of people, buildings and property and also contribute to greater comfort, energy efficiency and sustainability.

Bosch Building Technologies is divided into the international product business and the regional system integration business. Currently, the three product areas of video systems, access control & intrusion detection systems and communication systems as well as the associated cross-divisional functions within the division are to be set up as an independent unit and then further developed as a sustainable core business by a new owner.

  • International and interdisciplinary cooperation: As Head of IT Infrastructure, you will be part of the new company to be set up in the future and thus contribute to a globally networked team of around 4300 colleagues operating in over 50 countries.
  • You lead and inspire globally distributed teams of internal IT professionals and manage outsourcing partners to align infrastructure operations with business objectives and drive a cohesive, forward-thinking infrastructure strategy with a focus on service quality, innovation and end-user experience.
  • You oversee all components of the technology infrastructure, including data center operations, global networks, security systems, helpdesk services, local IT support, and end-user and mobile devices. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless, efficient and secure operations within a complex, multi-layered system landscape and a user-friendly hybrid working model.
  • You will be the main liaison with third party vendors, finalizing and managing contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to achieve optimal performance and responsiveness. Align outsourcing efforts with internal goals to improve the overall service landscape.
  • Define, implement and track key performance indicators to measure and report on operational efficiency, reliability and overall service quality and provide clear, transparent updates to senior management on progress and targets.
  • You will work closely with the Chief Information Security Officer to implement robust security practices across the infrastructure. You will focus on minimizing cybersecurity risks, regulatory compliance and maintaining robust security protocols.
  • In addition, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive disaster recovery and contingency strategies to secure IT operations and maintain business continuity in critical scenarios.
  • Collaborate with senior executives, department heads and stakeholders to ensure infrastructure strategies align with business priorities. Act as an IT ambassador and drive initiatives that maximize IT's role in business success and future growth.

  • Education: completed university studies in computer science, IT or a comparable subject
  • Experience and Knowledge: several years of leadership experience in IT, preferably in infrastructure, but an experienced leader with ambition to learn is also suitable; experience in managing internal staff and outsourcing partners on a global scale; experience with budget responsibility and defining and implementing cost synergies and efficiency improvements across the organization; a strong track record in strategic planning and resource management in an international, cross-cultural context is desirable; in-depth knowledge of IT services, including infrastructure management, hosting environments, network configurations, security and digital workplace solutions, with a focus on managing external partnerships and SLA-driven service delivery
  • Personality and Working Practice: excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to influence and engage at all levels, high level of commitment, adaptability and resilience in a dynamic environment, with a proactive, independent approach to leadership and problem solving
  • Enthusiasm: visionary leader who can drive an IT infrastructure strategy, inspire teams and collaborate effectively with internal and external partners
  • Languages: very good communication skills in written and spoken English and German
