Senior Risk Manager, Sustainability, – Regulatory Intelligence, Safety, and Compliance (RISC)

Job Description

This role can be located in Milan, Luxembourg or Munich.
We're looking for a Sr. Risk Manager to join our Sustainability team, within the Amazon's Regulatory Intelligence, Safety, and Compliance (RISC) organization. The Sr. Risk Manager will plan and execute large-scale global programs that ensure the compliance of our Amazon's businesses and operations.

  • Drive the expansion of sustainability activities to improve environmental compliance.
  • Manage cross-functional projects, to respond to new sustainability requirements.
  • Partner closely with Legal, Public Policy, Retail, Third Party (3P) and various Tech and Product teams, to define and lead the program solutions.
  • Own metrics, deep dive on KPIs, troubleshooting on reports and multiple data sources.
  • Clear, precise, and regular communication with key stakeholders, including leadership, on ongoing project/program updates

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience in compliance, audit or risk management
  • Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to simplify complex topics

Preferred qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
  • Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
  • Experience working with Product teams on scalable technical solutions
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, adept at problem-solving
  • Designs customer-centric processes, experience with root cause analysis
