We're looking for an experienced manager (m/f/d) to lead secunet's Software Factory. You will work hand in hand with the Tech Lead to develop the Software Factory into a mature organization capable of continuously delivering technological innovation. As part of this role, you'll have significant autonomy to shape both the strategy and culture of the team while collaborating closely with top leadership. The Software Factory is secunet's innovation program, designed to provide the technical means to develop entirely new product classes. It consists of a team of highly motivated software engineers focused on cutting-edge, security-focused shared components, and a DevSecOps platform that supports the entire life cycle of our products. This is a dynamic and evolving team, offering exciting challenges and opportunities for growth.
- Manage a highly technical team of software engineers distributed across Germany
- Shape and defend strategy, achieving buy-in from stakeholders inside the organization, including at the executive level
- Drive organizational development in terms of new hires, training, and process improvements, helping transform the team into a well-functioning and scalable organization
- Collaborate closely with the board of directors and heads of divisions to ensure strategic alignment
- Measure the impact of your team and effectively communicate it within the organization
- Organize Software Factory events to promote team engagement and innovation
- Lead through change, managing ambiguity and navigating evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience in successfully managing highly technical teams, with a strong background in software development or related fields
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively, promoting autonomy within your teams without resorting to micromanagement
- Outstanding communication skills with a proven track record at different levels including executive level
- Ability to gain understanding of complex technical problems
- Experience developing small teams into high-performing organizations through strategic leadership, coaching, and development
- A servant leader who inspires through empathy, support, and motivation, and who has earned authority through collaboration
- Comfortable managing ambiguity and changing priorities in volatile environments
- Enjoy coming up and dealing with new ideas. You're actively wary about “we have always done it this way”
