Building solutions for a better life. The Bosch Building Technologies division is a leading international provider of systems, solutions and services that increase the safety of people, buildings and property and also contribute to greater comfort, energy efficiency and sustainability.

Bosch Building Technologies is divided into the international product business and the regional system integration business. Currently, the three product areas of video systems, access control & intrusion detection systems and communication systems as well as the associated cross-divisional functions within the division are to be set up as an independent unit and then further developed as a sustainable core business by a new owner.

  • International and interdisciplinary cooperation: As Enterprise Architect (w/m/div.), you will be part of the new company to be set up in the future and thus contribute to a globally networked team of around 4300 colleagues operating in over 50 countries.
  • Strategic Planning: You develop and maintain the IT strategy in close interdisciplinary collaboration with data, solution, and IT architects to ensure alignment with business strategy.
  • Technology Roadmaps: You create and manage technology roadmaps (baseline, transition, and target architectures), ensuring consistency with budget, future business needs, and technology trends.
  • Reference Architectures: You create and maintain reference architectures, taking into account the current state, existing pain points and inefficiencies, organizational constraints, and the IT strategy.
  • Standards and Policies: You establish and enforce architecture standards and best practices across the organization.
  • Enablement and Architecture Thinking: You actively support the organization in adopting and using EA tools and methodologies, as well as fostering an architecture-driven mindset, for example, by developing and delivering training and coaching sessions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: You work closely with business and IT leaders, as well as suppliers, to ensure that architectural work contributes to business objectives. You prepare and drive the architecture decision-making process.
  • Risk Management: You identify and mitigate architectural risks to ensure scalability, security, and reliability of IT systems, working closely with the IT risk manager, CISO, and the head of infrastructure.

  • Education: In-depth methodological knowledge and relevant certifications, such as TOGAF or equivalent qualifications in Enterprise Architecture. Additionally, a strong understanding of architecture and process modeling methods (such as ArchiMate and BPMN 2.0) as well as hands-on experience with EA tools (such as LeanIX).
  • Experience and Expertise: Proven experience in developing and implementing IT strategies that contribute to achieving business goals. Furthermore, strong technical expertise to quickly understand new technologies, assess their potential and limitations, and effectively integrate them into existing IT landscapes. Also, extensive knowledge in project management, particularly in planning, execution, and tracking of architectural initiatives.
  • Personality and Working Style: Strategic thinking as a core strength, enabling the development of long-term IT strategies that are aligned with business needs and actively support them. An analytical and structured working style, allowing for precise understanding of complex systems, identification of optimization opportunities, and development of methodical solutions. Lastly, excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly and precisely convey complex architectural concepts and decision-making processes to various stakeholders.
  • Languages: Fluent in German and English, enabling effective collaboration in international and interdisciplinary teams.

  • Work-life balance: Flexible working in terms of time, place and working model.
  • Health & Sport: Wide range of health and sports activities.
  • Childcare: Intermediary service for childcare services.
  • Employee discounts: Discounts for employees.
  • Room for creativity: Space for creative work.
  • In-house social counseling and care services: Social counselling and intermediary service for care services.
