European Corporate Accountant (m/f/x)

The Position:

Are you passionate about group accounting and financial reporting? As the European Corporate Accountant you will be co-responsible for consolidation and reporting on the European level. You will work closely with our Center of Excellence to exchange information and prepare our reports and analyses. Your scope of duties will also include optimization of processes, tools and reporting. Join our team to contribute to the success of our finance organisation.


Group Accounting

  • Consolidation and preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to IFRS in S/4 Hana Group Reporting of the European subgroup (20 companies)
  • Monthly Consolidation and Preparation of DSE Group's Management P&L and Divisional P&L
  • Responsible for the monthly analysis and explanations of changes in Group Balance Sheet and P&L
  • Validation and reconciliation of reported data
  • Instruction and advice to the accountants how to correct errors or inconsistencies of reported data
  • Contact Person for Financial planning team to ensure aligned accounting and elimination approaches

Financial Reporting

  • Monthly Reporting of DSE Group consolidated Balance sheet and P&L
  • Monthly Reporting of DSE Group consolidated Management P&L and Division P&L
  • Validation, analysis and reconciliation of the Affiliates quarterly reporting package
  • Support the annual preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements and Management Commentary
  • Contact person for auditors

Projects

  • Support the implementation of the consolidation solution S/4 Hana Group Reporting including Group Reporting Data Collection (GRDC) for the European subgroup and Global Group
  • Leading/supporting the continuous improvement of consolidation processes, consolidation tasks and consolidated reporting for the European subgroup and the Global Group

  • University Degree in economics with a focus on accounting, controlling or finance;
  • and several years' experience (minimum 5 -7 years) in Accounting/Group accounting department or Audit company
  • Advanced IFRS and General Accounting Skills
  • Good Expertise in SAP Accounting and Consolidation Systems and Reporting preferably SAP S/4Hana
  • Works with minimum guidance
  • Leads small projects
  • Very good written and spoken German and English language skills
  • Expertise in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Project experience
  • Good knowledge of the operational processes and data flow in an industrial company
  • Precise oral and written communication skills
