The Chair of Energy systems and energy process technology at the Faculty of Mechanical engineering is looking for two
research associates (m,f,x), for 3 years, 39,83 hours per week, TVL E13
The Chair of Energy Systems and Energy Process Engineering is engaged in multiple projects focused on optimizing industrial high-temperature processes and designing them to be CO₂-neutral. The work is both experimental and numerical in nature.
The projects involve working with biogenic fuels, refuse derived fuels, hydrogen, and ammonia. Tasks include modifying existing test rigs, conducting measure-ments on complex systems, developing mathematical-physical models, and performing simulations of technical systems.

Thematic knowledge in the following areas is desirable:
- Experimental work
- Data acquisition and analysis
- Simulation of (particle-laden) reacting flows using CFD (OpenFoam, Flu-ent)
- Programming skills
- We are looking for enthusiastic team members with an above-average degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Technology, or Physics. Additionally, we expect commitment, the ability to work independently, and team spirit.
- Since teaching is also part of the position, fluency in German (at least C1 level, in word and writing – required for an effective communication and for teaching in German) is required
