(Junior) Welding Consumable R&D&Industrialization Engineer (m/f/d)
As (Junior) Welding Consumable R&D&Industrialization Engineer (m/f/d) in Eisenberg (Rhineland-Palatinate) you will actively support the company's strategy and vision. Within this role, other key responsibilities include:
- Development of new Welding Consumables (Sub Arc Welding Flux, Solid wire, Stick electrode & Flux cored wires) for different segments and applications
- Working on Product Improvements based on anticipation of changing chemicals and steels and raw material supplying situations / geopolitical developments, customer and market needs as well as analysis of customer feedback and internal and industrial benchmarking
- Support of Manufacturing Department
- Improving product manufacturability, cost and competitiveness
- Allowing for alternative chemicals and steels
- Assuring product performance corresponds to customer expectations
- Improvement in product consistency
- Participation in new initiatives in improving Manufacturing process and product performance
- Assisting in Quality Assurance and Laboratory Work
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Chemistry (Preferably Inorganic
- chemistry) or Materials Science / Metallurgy
- Knowledge of chemicals, Ceramics / refractory, Minerology, Metallic materials and Metallurgy
- Experiences from relevant industries in the areas of Welding, Product Engineering, Development and/or Manufacturing Process is a plus
- Knowledge Quality Management is a plus
- Knowledge of English is mandatory, Knowledge of other European language(s) (e.g. German) is preferred
- Good communication skills and strong, accurate analytical and technical skills
