This is a newly established team who will support the Finance Executive Leadership Team to support the global Finance Transformation and will work on optimising and developing the finance technology infrastructure going forward. The SAP Finance Product Owner is pivotal in optimizing our global finance systems landscape. This role serves as a critical link between finance and technology teams, ensuring seamless integration and alignment of processes and technology solutions. The primary responsibilities include managing our SAP system relationships, overseeing updates, and facilitating the adoption of new finance technologies and functionalities. They will advocate for global standards and best practices across all finance processes, ensuring that solutions meet the business needs effectively. Additionally, this role will coordinate with Global Process Owners and Key Users to prioritize and implement system updates, providing support to ensure efficient financial operations worldwide.
Your responsibilities:
- Act as the bridge and facilitate communication and collaboration between finance and technology teams.
- Manage the relationship with SAP, collaborating with the technology team to identify and integrate any new functionalities.
- Manage SAP updates and regression testing in conjunction with technology team.
- Assess and coordinate needs for external consultants/trainers to support finance systems infrastructure.
- Represent the finance interests in the space of MDG strategy.
- Assist in identifying and implementing best practice functionality.
- Act as a bridge between Global Process Owners (“GPO's”) and Key Users to prioritize and implement of finance systems updates effectively.
- Collaborate with key users and GPO's to develop work arounds and end state solutions for finance system challenges and supports in “translating” business needs to the technology team to guide the development of COE Solutions.
- Ensure comprehensive end to end business orientated documentation that effectively bridges business policy with technical specifications.
- Master's Degree in Finance, Information Systems or a related field preferred but not necessary.
- Experience of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or equivalent System, with SAP4Hana desirable or equivalent System.
- Experience with Finance Systems and in a in a business analyst role, in acting as an intermediate between finance and technology teams preferrable.
- Ability to manage change processes, to prioritise and to deal positively with different stakeholder requests.
- Fluent in German and English, further language skills would be an advantage.
