In this role, you will be part of our scrum team to bring the designs and ideas to life and improving our payroll applications for internal and external clients. Working with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders, you will plan, design, develop, test, and implement impactful solutions for companies of all sizes.

To thrive in this development career, you'll need to be an expert in Java (Java 11+ preferred) and have a firm grasp on Spring Boot, Hibernate, Javascript/Typescript, Angular and/or React. You'll need to be familiar with web services, RESTful APIs, SQL, AWS, and tools such as OpenAPI.

As aLeadDeveloper, you will work closely with your team to lead and guide projects to success. You'll have a hands-on role designing, developing, debugging, and deploying software solutions where you can leverage your expertise with code complexities. You'll also serve as a mentor to the junior developers. In the senior role, you will balance the assigning of user stories through prioritization and consideration of the technical interests of each developer on the team. Key Responsibilities

  • As the Tech Lead, you will take responsibility for the development and operation of our payroll products, ensuring their seamless performance and continuous improvement.
  • You will adopt an agile, iterative and incremental approach, leading proof of concepts (POC) for new features and technologies and assessing their potential impact and benefits
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and departments to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives and requirements.
  • Modernize a well-established product, leveraging the latest technologies, including the implementation of microservices in the cloud and the integration of artificial intelligence tools
  • With a strong sense of ownership, you will drive change and take on complex challenges with a solution-oriented mindset. No task is too big or too small—your hands-on approach and commitment to mastering your craft will be key to your success.

  • University degree in computer science, information technology or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Over 6 years of experience in application development using Java/J2EE (preferably Java 11 and above), with proficiency in Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate
  • Strong expertise in Angular or React, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS
  • Solid experience with SQL and relational databases, especially Oracle, and knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript in combination with React
  • Analytical mindset with a structured approach, combined with a team-player mentality and a continuous learning attitude
  • In-depth understanding of software architecture principles and modernization methods, along with excellent debugging skills
  • Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda), Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus
  • A strong sense of ownership and pride in your contributions to the company's success
  • Initial experience in a team lead role is a plus
  • Fluency in German and English
