With a 1GW pipeline in PV and wind projects in Germany, and BESS initiatives in their early stages, we are a leading player in the renewable energy sector. As we continue to strengthen our presence in the German market, our focus is on greenfield development to drive our growth.
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader for our business development operations in Germany. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in market strategy, team leadership, and business development. You'll oversee 15+ business and GIS developers, working students, and team leads in ESS and strategic development. Your team members will look to you for guidance, mentorship, and direction as you navigate the renewable energy landscape as a cohesive unit.
As the Head of Business Development for Germany (all genders), you will be a key member of our European leadership team, reporting directly to the Head of the Development division. This role is critical to the success of our company's roadmap as we transition to greenfield development. Your leadership will directly influence the growth & expansion of our renewable energy portfolio and our long-term strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • People leadership: recruitment & onboarding of new employees; guidance and development of the team
  • Market analysis & business evaluation: identification and analysis of the German market
  • Commercial evaluation of new business cases (Repowering, AgriPV, Hydrogen etc.)
  • Greenfield development of PV, Wind, BESS etc.
  • Evaluation, support and coordination with internal and external parties to reach contractual and investment decisions
  • Lead development activities, including securing land and obtaining permits in Germany
  • Represent Q Energy by supporting marketing activities and attend seminars, trade fairs and networking events

  • Extensive experience in the renewable energy industry, with a focus on market analysis, (greenfield) project development, and business case evaluation in Germany
  • Proven leadership experience in recruiting, onboarding, and managing teams
  • Strong ability to coordinate and support projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in German and English
  • Willingness to travel as required
