The Institute of Geo-Hydroinformatics is interested in tackling global challenges concerning water, soil, and the environment. Within this context, we want to recruit a Foreign Language Secretary for our newly developed Living Lab, which contributes to the recently established UNU Hub on Engineering to Face Climate Change. The successful candidate should demonstrate enthusiasm and professionalism in coordinating and supporting the various activities of the Living Lab team.


  • Correspondence and translation tasks in English and German
  • Independent coordination and organization of public outreach activities and events
  • Activities relating to the procurement of materials and equipment for the Living Lab
  • Management of budget overviews and reconciliation of allocated funds for the Living Lab
  • Supporting the team with general administrative and secretarial tasks

Requirements

  • Completed training or apprenticeship as Foreign Language Correspondent
  • Specialist knowledge equivalent

Required knowledge and personal skills

  • Excellent knowledge of English (oral/written) and good knowledge of German (oral/written)
  • Proficient with MS Office programs
  • Very good communication, organization and coordination skills
  • Proven professional experience as office coordinator or administration support will be an advantage
  • Experience in social media communication, marketing and PR tools and activities will be an advantage
