As a Regional Supplier Quality Manager at Olympus, you will play a key role in shaping and maintaining the highest quality levels for our suppliers, driving continuous improvement and aligning quality assurance activities with our global strategy. - Negotiate, prepare and execute regional and local quality assurance agreements, ensuring that all commitments are met and upheld across all sites while acting in the best interests of the company
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain management teams for supplier selection, evaluation, development and risk management
- Lead supplier improvement projects
- Develop and execute the vision and strategy for supplier quality assurance activities in partnership with the Category Manager, promoting the strategy within the organization
- Perform regular supplier audits and initiate and monitor required measures
- MSc or equivalent degree in life sciences, engineering or equivalent
- Certification as Supplier Quality Auditor is required
- Demonstrated comprehensive expertise in the applied interpretation of worldwide regulatory standards and laws applicable to the medical device (e.g. ISO, QSR, GMP, JPAL, CCMP)
- High level of quality tools and methodology skills (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys, FMEA, IQ/OQ/PQ), experienced in Advanced Problem Solving
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Business fluency in English and conversational German is mandatory, additional European language skills are highly beneficial
- Adept negotiation and communication skills to foster positive supplier relationships, ensuring balanced outcomes despite differing perspectives, even within escalations
- Willingness to travel up to 30% within the EMEA region
