We're looking for a Team Lead Genomics Sales Central Europe based in Germany with an in-depth knowledge in sales of genomics technology within the research academic, biotech and industrial/commercial sectors.
This position is a strong combination of strategic planning, managing operational excellence, client relationship management, and leadership.
The position is home-office based with frequent travel (60-70%) across the DACH region and to Eurofins Genomics production sites (mostly in Germany).
The Team Lead Genomics Sales Central Europe reports directly to the Managing Director Germany.
The successful candidate will be expected to grow the revenues across all genomic service areas in which we are present, including Next Generation Sequencing, Applied Genomics markets, Sanger sequencing, Oligos, Gene synthesis, Microarray, Genotyping.
You will be responsible for:
- Strategic planning, managing of operational excellence, client relationship management and leadership of the sales teams in the DACH region are your key responsibilities
- The profit and loss statement (P&L) in collaboration with the Managing Director
- Contributing to the budget process
- Developing sales activities for existing and new business to drive growth across the region
- Engaging, supporting and developing employees within your organizationRealizing sales and profit targets within your territory
- Developing the pipeline by discovering and mapping new projects and opportunities
- Carrying out regular reporting: Sales forecasts, sales and market analysis, competitive analysis
- Working with the Application Sales Specialist to implement a new sales strategy
- Cross-functional collaboration with marketing, customer support and scientific contacts to ensure sales budget and P&L compliance and customer satisfaction
- Managing a sales team and the sales of a certain number of customers.
- Improving existing processes, introduce new processes and develop creative ideas for team success and achieving results
- Scientific/ technical background, B.Sc. in science or higher. Business qualification is an advantage
- You have 5 years of sales and operational experience with sales management responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of commercial processes and CRM
- You have business development and client relationship management skills
- You are results driven: Think strategically, yet understand details
- You are a team player: Proactive, organized, and flexible. Interacting with the sales European Team and cross functionally with the whole organization e.g. production, customer care, marketing and controlling
- You are self-motivated: Ability to work autonomously and deliver results against targets
- You are enthusiastic and passionate about sales, with the ability to communicate this enthusiasm to customers
