Our Data Science and Engineering team plays a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making and unlocking the full potential of data across IONITY. We provide a platform that enables quantitative value creation throughout the product cycle, enabling more informed and strategic business choices. We bundle expertise in advanced analytics, machine learning, operations research, and statistics to tackle critical tasks, including time series forecasting, pattern recognition, customer and market analysis, and branch network optimization. Your responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of smaller projects, collaborating with business owners to implement innovative, data-driven solutions.
  • Develop machine learning models from prototype to production, ensuring scalability and impact.
  • Create reports and dashboards to provide stakeholders with deep insights for data-driven decision-making.
  • Collect, clean, pre-process, and store data from a variety of sources, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
  • Automate ETL processes in the cloud to streamline data management and improve operational efficiency.
  • Take ownership of smaller projects, collaborating with business owners to implement innovative, data-driven solutions.


  • Currently pursuing a university degree in Informatics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in Python programming, ideally with experience using data-focused libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and ideally, familiarity with deep learning frameworks like Keras, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
  • Knowledge of code development processes (CI/CD) and version control tools (e.g., Git) is desirable.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach complex tasks systematically.
  • A highly motivated self-starter with a proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary environments.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Availability to work 10–20 hours per week (on-site or remotely, depending on your preference).
