Mercedes-Benz Cars Research and Development designs the automotive generation of the future. In addition to electrified driving, infotainment, driver assistance and connectivity, body electronics more and more drives the customer experience. Comfort and luxury of the premium brand Mercedes-Benz is clearly determines by its body and comfort systems.
As part of MB.OS, we are building a new software development organization with the aspiration to bring leading edge software engineering to the soul of the vehicle to accelerate innovation in body and comfort. We want to push boundaries with respect to speed of innovation and software dependability.
For this mission we are looking for an Autosar Basic Software Developer who, as part of a powerful team, will help shape the next generation of control unit software in the Body & Comfort area.
Your tasks include:
- Understand and document requirements for the basic software and ensure traceability
- Define the development process of basic software (BSW) in compliance with ISO26262 and A-Spice
- Develop as-code-based automation solutions to configure the BSW
- Configure and generate the BSW using the as-code approach (and/or classic way)
- Implement automated tests on partially and full integrated software level
- Trace and debug the full software stack in the test environment and on the embedded target
- Spread your knowledge and experience in the team
What you bring to the table:
- Several years of experience as a basic software developer (AUTOSAR, ideally vector stack)
- Experience in designing the BSW for a multi-core system
- Knowledge of ISO26262 and A-Spice
- Understanding of agile values, principles and practices and passion for state-of-the art software engineering practices such as CI/CD, everything-as-code, DevOps
- Excitement for being part of something new, building a new organization from the scratch
- Readiness to accept challenges and push the limits
- Mind-winning personality with enthusiasm to spread her/his knowledge and experience in the team
- Degree in engineering, computer science, information systems or relevant skills acquired in previous occupation
- Good knowledge of English and German
