Join Outokumpu: Empowering Learning for a Sustainable Future!

At Outokumpu, we are more than the global leader in stainless steel production—we are shaping a sustainable future. Our success is built on continuous learning and development, and we are committed to fostering a culture of growth.

We are seeking a proactive Learning Specialist to join our global team, ensuring our learning processes run smoothly and create a positive impact on employee development. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to deliver meaningful learning experiences that enhance skills and drive continuous improvement.

As we advance automation in the coming years, this role will transition from process-focused tasks to a Learning Partner approach. Your focus will shift toward greater collaboration with subject matter experts, helping to shape learning frameworks that align with both business goals and employee development.

If you're eager to grow and make a real impact, this is the role for you!

  • Administer tasks in the Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure proper documentation of training records.
  • Identify areas for automation in learning administration, such as scheduling, attendance tracking, course reporting, and learner communication, and oversee the implementation.
  • Build strong relationships with content owners, business leaders, and HR Business Partners to ensure learning programs align with business strategies. Provide guidance to managers and employees on learning-related matters.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of learning programs and administrative processes, using data to continuously improve learning solutions.
  • Coordinate learning interventions and frameworks with internal and external experts that align with business goals. Ensure learning solutions are delivered in a timely and relevant manner.
  • Collaborate with content owners to identify skill gaps and future capability needs, implementing strategies to address them. Act as the learning expert within the business unit.

  • Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Previous HR experience, with a focus on learning and development.
  • Fluent in English and German.
  • Strong project management capabilities and the ability to think strategically while executing hands-on tasks.
  • Tech-savvy with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
  • A desire to grow into a Learning Partner role, contributing to our transformation journey.

  • Join a team of professionals committed to making a positive impact, where continuous development is encouraged.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work environment that values responsibility, proactivity, and independence.
  • Contribute to global sustainability efforts while working with a leader in stainless steel production.
  • Access educational programs that support growth and innovation.
  • Benefit from perks tailored to your location, including partially supported lunch or travel arrangements.
  • Enjoy the advantage of flexible working hours to maintain a balanced work-life experience.
  • The opportunity to grow within the company and shape the Learning Partner role alongside your development.

At Outokumpu, we promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. We make every effort to ensure all employees feel welcome, heard, and have equal opportunities.
