As a System Architect for Smart Service (m/f/x), you specify the technical and architectural foundation for a product for remote servicing within our ecosystem. You define and align technical integrity, security concepts, and common implementation patterns. Close collaboration with product managers will be essential for a successful product design and development. Your coordination with other architects, especially from device development teams, ensures integrability across the ecosystem and drives technological excellence.

Tasks:

  • Lead the architecture design for our remote service platform.

  • Coordinate technical specification & dependencies with other architects from dependent and connected products.

  • Collaborate with system architects to ensure products fit into the product landscape of our ecosystem.

  • Define subsystems and their interfaces, understand system deployment, and communicate requirements within the development teams.

  • Work with product managers to determine the capacity allocation for enablement work needed to work on features

  • Create, manage, and track the progress of technical implementation

  • Support plannings from a technical POV and provide technical/architecture context.

  • Develop architectural patterns, development standards and development processes.

  • Define technical KPIs and monitoring designs together with other technical leads.

  • Technical DRI for external vendor architects


  • Degree in computer science, information technology, (software) engineering, or related field

  • Minimum of 3+ years as software developer or architect building digital products from concept to launch; Strong communication skills in software engineering positions; Prior successful working experience in agile organizations is a must, experience in medical software development is a plus

  • IoT, MQTT, Cloud software development (e.g. Azure), DevOps, Web-Application development, REST, Security

  • Highly flexible and used to international travel, up to 30% international travel
