Who we are:

The Strategy, Global Project Portfolio Management office is part of the Strategy department and responsible for the global portfolio at Mercedes-Benz Mobility AG. Portfolio Management is MBM's framework for combining the standardized approval and management of initiatives, products, and projects for the whole organization globally.

The purpose is to support the transformation of the company by creating continuous transparency on the execution progress, ensuring a strategy based and value-oriented investment approach, which is based on a globally unified decision-making process with standardized evaluation criteria, implementing a globally unified framework, which guarantees a comparability of activities, spent budget, and gained value of all waterfall and agile project and product developments.

We are looking for an intern who has the ambition and talent to develop those processes together with us:

  • You take responsibilities for GPPM steering to enable efficient usage of data in close collaboration with other teams
  • You support us to introduce SAFe Lean Portfolio Management and assist in the Strategic Portfolio Reviews and Strategic Portfolio Syncs
  • You support us to supervise global project portfolio development and ensure that worldwide project portfolio goes in the right strategic direction
  • You analyze new ideas for our portfolio in terms of economic and strategic metrics
  • You support us in the creation of decision-making documents and the development of workshop formats

  • Degree in economics, business informatics, engineering or a comparable course
  • Basic knowledge in financial services industry preferred
  • International exposure and cross-cultural experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills preferred

  • Proactive and driven to perform
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Technical skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office applications; especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • First experience in dealing with Jira, Confluence, or PowerBI is an advantage
  • Proficient in English; German language will be an advantage

Additional information:

Preferred starting date is November 2024 with a minimum duration of 6 months.
