In the role, you will dive into exploring market opportunities in Germany. Your main focus will be building solid relationships with asset owners and counterparties and over time become a key player in the value creation of our renewables and flexible assets business.
To be more specific, your responsibilities include:

  • build and manage relationships with renewable and flexible asset owners in Germany, such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), corporate PPAs, battery storage and Power-to-X (PtX)
  • manage relationships with major energy consumers in Germany
  • collaborate closely with our parent company Equinor in Germany and provide origination services and route to market solutions for their renewable assets
  • drive contract negotiations in partnership with our Legal department
  • expand DC's market presence in renewable and flexible assets, with a primary focus on the German market

Meet the team

As our new originator, you will join our European Origination team, responsible for all customer-related activities for Danske Commodities and Equinor across Europe. Our customers include owners of flexible and renewable assets as well as large consumers. We empower them with market access and access to renewable energy. We deliver tailored market solutions for their renewable assets in close collaboration with Equinor. The team's goal is to be the best in providing solutions that enable our customers to grow their businesses – and we do so by providing full market access for them and their assets.
You will join a diverse team with various nationalities and backgrounds, all with a deep understanding of the energy market. We value teamwork and the different perspectives team members bring to the table and our informal tone encourage to sparring and creativity.

We also imagine that you:

  • have at least 3-5 years of experience in energy origination, deal structuring and negotiation
  • have experience with renewables PPAs and corporate PPAs
  • know your way around financial instruments
  • are proficient in German and English – both written and verbal
