To support our teams at our Alzenau location, we are looking for a
Manager Human Resources (f/m/d)
80-100 %

As a Manager Human Resources in Alzenau, you will work closely with business areas and other functions to promote employee engagement and business partnering. Furthermore, you will actively lead and participate in local and international HR projects. The incumbent will report directly to the VP Human Resources and be an integral member of the local Management team.


  • You are a strategic and operational partner for local leaders by consulting, coaching, and supporting them to effectively manage and develop their people.
  • You understand the business needs and provide support and guidance to different levels of leaders about the employee HR life cycle together with a small HR team.
  • You take over an active role in HR projects (e.g. design and implementation of comprehensive structures and processes) and as sparring partner in change and transformation processes.
  • As a member of the EMEA HR Team, you work closely with HR colleagues to introduce and build up common Materion HR standards and ensure the alignment to the global HR strategy for Germany.

  • 5 + years' experience of operating at a senior HR level as HR Manager or HR Business Partner, ideally in a technical / manufacturing environment
  • Appropriate experience in a multinational company with a matrix organization and high change / transformation power
  • A HR related academic degree (e.g. Economics, Psychology, Law)
  • Sound understanding and expertise of HR processes and tools as well as HR process development and execution (e.g. Hiring, Onboarding, Individual / Leadership Development, Compensation & Benefits, Performance Management, Talent Management)
  • Experience with works councils and negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, knowledge of tariff regulations is a plus
  • Emotional intelligence, empathy, and resilience
  • Very good German and English language skills, verbally and in writing
