As an e-commerce marketplace, METRO Markets GmbH works with hundreds of partners within Germany, Europe and beyond, managing thousands of products to deliver on our customer's needs while providing great service.As the Head of Vendor Management for General Business Needs, you will have the great opportunity to further develop and coach the team of Vendor Managers to drive profitable growth and expansion into new territories.In particular, your team will be responsible for categories such as Small Domestic Appliances, Major Domestic Appliances, Office supply, Home Furniture and Multimedia.We want to offer the widest and deepest assortment for our B2B target groups (HoReCa, Offices...) and therefore you strive for price-competitive, fast rotating and profitable assortments.Your team will secure and develop vendor service level KPIs, plan, negotiate, drive and evaluate marketing activities and collaborate with Online Marketing, Commercial Business Intelligence and Demand Planning.
Together with our/your team, you will focus on Assortment management, Own Brands sales development and negotiation.

  • At least 3-5 years of proven experience in leading a team in purchasing or sales functions.
  • Ideally, knowledge within the E-Commerce environment and related KPIs.
  • The ability to disrupt and improve existing processes alongside our future growth.
  • Fun in managing relationships with Key Partners of the industry and internal stakeholders, e.g. Marketing & Supply Chain.
  • Strong negotiation skills, a proactive approach, collaborative and team player.
  • You love to develop people and team culture.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English.
  • Any additional language would be beneficial.
