  • You will have a key role in delivering and supporting HR's transformation initiatives on Workday as part of the global Workday team at ZEISS

  • For this purpose, you will contribute mainly to the config design and (global) roll out of Workday Absence & Time Tracking

  • You will work closely with global HR process owners, developers (internal and external) and cross functional teams to identify and analyze gaps and implementing enhancements to increase the adoption of Workday

  • In this role you support on-going system development, upgrades, testing and other technical projects as assigned together in a motivated team

  • You are responsible for the coordination, implementation, and testing of Workday related work packages as well as the development of proof of concepts based on business requirements

  • You will document business requirements and conduct system configuration functionalities accordingly

  • Support the global Process Owners in identification and evaluation of Workday and HR process improvements and execute the implementation with internal and external partners

  • Support the global HR community on process issues and act as an interface to HR departments, IT, Managers, Payroll, etc.


  • A degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Business Informatics or similar

  • 2+ years functional expertise in Workday Absence and/or Time Tracking and/or HCM

  • 2+ years hands on experience working with Workday

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work packages, responding with a sense of urgency and ability to embrace change

  • Workday Roll-Out experience

  • Solution-oriented thinking and good understanding of HR processes

  • High degree of comfort with technology and reporting

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high degree of confidentiality

  • Fluent communication in written and spoken English (German is a plus)
