Bosch Building Technologies is divided into the international product business and the regional system integration business. Currently, the three product areas of video systems, access control & intrusion detection systems and communication systems as well as the associated cross-divisional functions within the division are to be set up as an independent unit and then further developed as a sustainable core business by a new owner.
- International and interdisciplinary cooperation: As Technical Integration Manager, you will be part of the new company to be set up in the future and thus contribute to a globally networked team of around 4300 colleagues operating in over 50 countries.
- As part of a global and intercultural team of internal and third-party application service providers, your tasks will cover the whole lifecycle of an SAP system landscape in a complex application architecture.
- This involves installing and configuring SAP systems, ensuring proper system landscape setup.
- Your responsibilities will also include monitoring SAP systems, analyzing performance, and troubleshooting issues. Additionally, you will perform system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, as well as create and manage user accounts, authorizations, and security settings.
- You will be tasked with managing the transportation of changes between SAP systems using the Transport management system (TMS), as well as implementing backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability. You will manage the underlying database systems (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL Server) that support SAP applications.
- You role include analyzing system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing tuning measures. You will maintain the system documentation, including configurations, administration procedures, and troubleshooting guides, while also configuring and managing integration of SAP systems with other systems and applications.
- Your responsibilities extend to implementing and enforcing security policies and procedures to protect SAP systems from unauthorized access and data breaches. You will also coordinate and facilitate SAP systems operations with various internal and external service providers to ensure the smooth functioning of the SAP landscape in close co-operation with systems and applications architects.
- Education: bachelor's or master's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience of at least 5 years.
- Experience and Knowledge: profound experience in SAP Basis administration, system management, troubleshooting, and performance optimization in a complex system environment, strong familiarity of SAP architecture, administration tools, and infrastructure is essential, including expertise in database administration (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server), operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), and network environments
- Qualifications: certification in SAP Basis or a related module is highly desirable
- Personality and Working Practice: extensive problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate solutions in close collaboration with third party service providers, effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders including technical teams, business users, third party service providers, and management, ability to work collaboratively as part of an international and intercultural team with various internal and external service providers to coordinate with different teams to ensure the smooth functioning of the SAP landscape
