The Release is responsible for managing the release process of our mechatronic and robotic systems, including the planning, coordination, and execution of product releases. This role also involves overseeing the configuration and change management processes for both hardware and software components. The ideal candidate will have a proactive mindset, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to integrate early into the product development cycle to gain a full understanding of the product's spectrum. The Release Manager will ensure that all necessary information is gathered and that the release process is executed smoothly, with minimal risk and maximum quality.
This role may involve occasional travel to customer sites or manufacturing facilities.
The position may require working in environments with exposure to mechanical and electrical system and is not soely limited to software releases. Experience with mechatronic system is required.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead release planning by collaborating with key stakeholders to define scope, timelines, and resource requirements
  • Oversee configuration and change management processes to ensure thorough documentation and effective communication
  • Engage early in the development phase to thoroughly understand product configurations and technical characteristics
  • Manage and mitigate risks throughout the release cycle, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards
  • Continuously enhance release, change, and configuration management processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Serve as the main contact for stakeholders, delivering timely updates on release progress and maintaining transparency throughout the entire process
  • Ensure that all releases comply with industry standards, including detailed documentation and proper distribution of release artifacts
  • Oversee release execution to guarantee smooth transitions and conduct post-release evaluations to identify improvements


  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively mediate between development teams and ensure alignment on release content
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate issues, identify risks, and drive solutions
  • Strong understanding of release, configuration, and change management processes and best practices in complex engineering projects
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple releases and configuration changes simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in risk management
  • Familiarity with tools and technologies used in mechatronic and robotic systems development, including version control systems, continuous integration/continuous deployment tools, and product lifecycle management software

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A focus on Mechatronics, Robotics, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline is highly desirable
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a release, configuration, or change management role within a complex engineering environment, preferably involving mechatronic or robotic systems
  • Proven track record of managing complex product releases and overseeing configuration management for hardware and software components
  • Preferred certifications or testimonials in project management, systems engineering, or quality management
