Unit description

Large Projects Offshore is a key contributor to the energy transition. The Unit is responsible for the current and future development of the offshore grid as a whole and subsequently for the development and realization of the DC interconnectors and the Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in both the German and Dutch sectors of the North Sea.
TenneT is growing fast to realize its strategic ambitions. We play a leading role in driving the energy transition. We are looking for a passionate Project Lead Offshore Cable (m/f/x) to join the Regional Cluster Wilhelmshaven as part of the 2GW Program who shall be based in Hannover, Hamburg or Bremen. As Project Lead Offshore Cable you are responsible for the realisation of the offshore cable scope within the Regional Cluster Wilhelmshaven for the projects BalWin3 & LanWin4 throughout all phases of the project execution
  • You ensure compliance with all applicable HSE guidelines, contractual requirements, schedule constraints, budget, quality requirements, internal documentation requirements, and authority regulations
  • You (functionally) lead and coordinate TenneT's interdisciplinary team assigned to the offshore cable portion of the project
  • You develop and continuously maintain collaboration-oriented relationships with various stakeholders (e.g. contractors, suppliers, authorities)
  • You are responsible for the upholding of project management requirements, and proactively manage the projects risks and chances
  • You help manage interfaces across projects, especially in relation to the offshore platforms and nearshore cable scopes
  • You align with experts and teams within Large Projects Offshore as well as with those in other departments to help ensure and improve standards of the 2GW program and to consolidate shared learnings across projects

  • You preferably hold a master's degree and and academic level of thinking and working or a comparable qualification
  • You have worked in a comparable role for over 5 years, gaining in-depth experience and comprehensive understanding, through managing the tasks associated with offshore cable processes for large infrastructure projects
  • You are dynamic, enthusiastic, intrinsically motivated, and determined; you have a strong orientation for collaboration and partnership; you have strong communication skills to support to manage relevant stakeholders
  • You are fluent in German and English and are willing to travel (internationally) as per project needs
  • You are preferably IPMA Level C certified or open to obtain
