- Supervise, mentor, and support a team of Mechanical Engineers
- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and set development goals for team members
- Coordinate with other departments to integrate systems effectively and resolve cross-functional issues.
- Review design documents, including drawings, BOM's, GD&T, schematics, risk assessments and other deliverables of the department.
- Ensure engineering budgets of the projects are adhered to.
- Determine design solutions for machinery and machine parts and generate equipment drawings for manufacturing
- Definition of purchase parts and creation of technical specifications
- Perform design reviews internally and with the customer and obtain approvals
- GD&T (Dimensioning and Detailing)
- Perform risk assessments in machine safety
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Several years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing automated special machinery.
- Proficient in Solidworks and other engineering tools and software.
- Strong knowledge of special automation machinery design and GD&T
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide technical leadership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- This position is based in the office, with occasional site visits to project locations as required.
- Some travel may be necessary for client meetings, project installations, and industry events
