At Product Group Drive Systems, the heart of the automobile beats with cutting-edge drive technologies produced within the global powertrain network. The current deep transformation focuses not only on the product but also on the latest electric drive products, such as batteries. This transformation also involves the digitalization of business processes, anchored in the strategic pillar "Pioneering Digitalization" of Mercedes Operations.

Our team is called ‘Digital Process Chain, Data Analytics and AI' and we are responsible for digitalization use cases for the powertrain production and we work alongside the Data Management team and the Cyber Security team. In collaboration with stakeholders, our digitalization teams provide up-to-date methods and tools for the digital process chain in engineering and operations. Our team lays the groundwork for new and future applications based on technologies like data analytics and AI methods. We place great importance on integrating into the Mercedes-Benz Operations 360 ecosystem and maintain close communication with colleagues in assembly plants and IT. The rollout of developed use cases in the planning and production centers of the powertrain is becoming increasingly significant.

As a trainee, your mission will be to work closely with colleagues in engineering and operations to deliver powerful applications that unlock the efficiency potentials of digitalization.


Qualifications:

  • An above-average degree (bachelor, master, MBA or doctorate) in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Production Engineering, Business Informatics, or comparable course of study   
  • Knowledge of current IT trends (cloud technologies, AI, etc.) and agile methods in project development
  • Maximum of 3 years of professional experience (apart from studies) 
  • At least 3 months of experience abroad (study, international internship, work and travel) 
  • Excellent knowledge of English - good German language skills are an advantage 
  • Affinity and enthusiasm for digital technologies and trends  
  • Social commitment is preferred
  • You are ready to drive the transformation forward at Mercedes-Benz and take responsibility
  • You are open and communicative and have very good analytical skills
  • You are a team player and can motivate others
