Social Assistants for our Social Service

  • Coordinate the social aspect of access to healthcare services and follow-up with beneficiaries, as well as those registered under the Universal Health Coverage (“CUSS”).
  • Assist in coordinating the work of MdM's volunteer social service teams and ensure smooth operation in the absence of a volunteer social worker.
  • Contribute to the development of medical, psychological, and social support networks to refer patients both within and outside MdM's system.
  • Provide social support: actively listen to beneficiaries, conduct assessments, investigations, and social diagnoses to assist them in asserting their healthcare rights.
  • Ensure proper follow-up on individual patient files by carrying out necessary social procedures (requesting estimates, contacting the CNS, social offices, partner organizations, etc.) and actively advocating for cases.
  • Help organize specialized medical appointments, manage their administrative follow-up, and assist the most vulnerable patients, if necessary, during referrals.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of social records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Collect testimonies and facts to support MdM's advocacy for a more inclusive social protection system in Luxembourg, including Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
  • Participate in internal meetings, training sessions, and supervision organized by the team.
  • Adhere to professional confidentiality, the code of ethics, and data protection regulations.
  • Contribute to working groups aimed at advancing the defense of the rights of MdM service beneficiaries

  • Degree in Social Work with authorization to practice in Luxembourg
  • Experience in the field of health and access to healthcare is a plus
  • Experience in a similar role or within an NGO
  • Knowledge of Luxembourg's network of associations is an asset
  • Proficiency in written and spoken French; knowledge of German and Luxembourgish is highly preferred, and additional language skills are appreciated
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Permanent contract ranging from 0.5 to 1 FTE (20 to 40 hours/week) / C6 career level under the CCT-SAS
Work locations: Esch-sur-Alzette and Luxembourg.
