As part of the CEO Division, the team Group ESG Strategy (GES) is responsible for the development and management of Deutsche Börse Group's sustainable strategy. This includes the management of DBG's own ESG activities (e.g. climate strategy, Group Sustainability Committee), the measurement and documentation of ESG KPIs, the support of business areas in the development of ESG products and markets, and the internal and external communication of strategy and results.

Your responsibilities:

  • Identification and evaluation of ESG (environmental, social and governance) and sustainability trends and regulatory requirements
  • Implementation and enhancement of sustainability strategy and climate strategy in line with ESG framework at Group level and in divisions
  • Advancement and performance monitoring of ESG activities at Group level (e.g. climate strategy related KPIs and reduction measures to achieve Net Zero ambition)
  • Self-reliant development, continuous optimization and coordination of material ESG processes (e.g. materiality analysis, value chain, opportunity management)
  • Preparation of ESG reporting for executive management decision processes and board related presentations
  • Further optimisation of processes and identification of opportunities related to sustainability matters
  • Performance and coordination of ESG ratings relevant for Deutsche Börse's executive remuneration

  • University degree in Business Administration, Sustainability Mangement or similar
  • Minumim 5 years of professional working experience in the sustainability field in strategic management consulting, auditing or financial sector
  • Experience and knowledge of sustainability strategy development and implementation, carbon management (GHG Protocol, SBTi), corporate due diligence (social impact scans, impact measurement), and are aware of developments in the field, such as those around corporate sustainability reporting (EU CSRD, TCFD, SASB, GRI)
  • Recognizing trends and networking in the ESG environment
  • Strong analytical skills and structured, solution-driven working methods
  • Demonstrated project management skills, assertiveness, resilience, strong service and customer orientation
  • Excellent presentation development skills and ability to create an easy to understand storyline for complex facts and data
  • Strong communication skills to stakeholders of all levels (incl. executive board, senior management, team, internal and external business partners)
  • Ability to work in a team and in a matrix organisation within a multicultural, international environment with high level of initiative, commitment and motivation
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English in writing and speaking
