As Strategic Marketing Manager ZEISS IOLs for our surgical business, you will work closely with the entire ZEISS Surgical Anterior team and other peers in the Ophthalmology unit to grow the ophthalmic business of Carl Zeiss Meditec AG.

As part of this role, you will take charge of the strategic product launch and annual marketing plan for ZEISS intraocular lenses, while also working on the development, definition, and management of Strategic Marketing initiatives for these products. To drive the growth of Carl Zeiss Meditec's B2B business, you will have a key role in addressing customers (surgeons, clinical and non-clinical staff).

Your role

  • In this position, you will be in charge of developing, defining, and steering the implementation of Strategic Marketing initiatives for ZEISS intraocular lenses, with a focus on expanding the strategic IOL Marketing program.

  • Take charge of developing, defining, and overseeing product launch plans, while also serving as a key coordinator, in close collaboration with all stakeholders involved in the project chain.

  • Assume responsibility for the development, definition, and steering of the annual Marketing plan for products and procedures. Coordinate the implementation of commercialization initiatives for specific markets based on approval timings.

  • Internal and external collaboration: you will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to drive the successful execution of the growth plan for the IOLs and increase global market presence.


  • Successfully completed university degree (e.g. in corporate strategy, marketing, business administration) or comparable qualification

  • A deep understanding of demonstrated professional experience as a strategist, project manager, product manager, marketing manager, or consultant in the medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or related industries.

  • Hands-on experience defining, planning and designing project plans and conceptual designs with internal and external stakeholders

  • Being able to effectively and inspirationally present strategic projects and long-term vision, while also having outstanding communication and organizational capabilities.

  • Capable of motivating individuals, prioritizing tasks, and communicating clearly, while also understanding how to drive alignment within the organization to achieve outstanding team outcomes.

  • Very good command of written and spoken German and English languages

  • Willingness to travel internationally (10-20% of the time)
