Job Summary Washing and sterilizing laboratory glassware; assisting with and providing backup support for fly food preparation Essential Job Duties Wash and sterilize laboratory glassware by hand and by automated washing machines Performs cleaning, rinsing, and drying of glassware for BBE laboratories; this may be done by hand or by using autoclaves for sterilization Assist manager of Fly Food Facility with twice-a-week fly food distribution Dispense fly food in vials and bottles; may be asked to assist with preparing fly food, which requires following a recipe and troubleshooting as needed May assist with supply inventory and ordering Perform other related duties as assigned Basic Qualifications Must have basic knowledge of glass washing Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods Must have good communication skills Must be dependable and work well with others Must interact daily with functional peer groups and supervisor Preferred Qualifications Bilingual English/Spanish Required Documents Resume To be considered for this position please visit our web site and apply on line at the following link: https://hr.caltech.edu/work/job_openings We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
