SENIOR ACCOUNTANT AS FINANCE DIRECTOR | German Hidden Champion | High-Tech Films (m/f/x)


As the Finance and Accounting Manager, you will lead a small team at the independent branch. You will be responsible for managing and developing the company's finance and accounting operations with a focus on the Chinese market. You will further implement a new ERP system in 2025 and develop and support the financial and accounting systems in relation to your area of responsibility.

Reporting directly to the local Managing Director and functionally to the Group CFO in Germany, you will receive full onboarding from HQ. Your role will increasingly involve overseeing financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and cash flow management. You will also provide support and advice to the Director and your local colleagues, and with regard to your team, you will ensure effective coordination, coaching, training and development.

You will also support medium to long term investment planning, evaluate and implement CAPEX projects in line with company policy and provide decision support for manufacturing, quality, supply chain, including procurement and administration. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, you will also act as a liaison with external financial institutions, auditors and regulatory bodies.

You will be working directly at the site in Guangzhou.


You hold a degree in Business Administration or a related field and have successfully completed further qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or a Bachelor's degree with additional professional development for ex. in GAAP. Knowledge in local Chinese accounting regulations is a priority. You will have experience of finance within an international company, including initial experience of financial planning and analysis, financial modelling, forecasting and budgeting.

You have a proven track record in improving operational performance, including managing costs related to raw materials, waste, labor, and overheads. Experience in leading a small team and optimizing performance through standardization and process improvements is essential. You are self-directed, structured, and organized, with a pragmatic, hands-on, and solution-oriented approach.

You are highly proficient in using an ERP systems and Microsoft Office 365. Communication and presentation skills are crucial for reporting purposes. Fluency in German or English is required, some knowledge of Mandarin is preferred.
