(Senior) Health Economics & Outcomes Research Manager (m/f/d) - Focus: Statistics

Based in Berlin (up to 50% home office possible)

The role is based on a temporary contract until Dec 2025
  • You will manage a portfolio of non-interventional studies and economic models and ensure delivery of high-quality results to agreed timelines;
  • Using innovative statistical methods, you will assess the clinical and economic value of products and therapies using real-world data sets and decision modelling;
  • The outcome of your work will provide real world insights for health technology assessment, product reimbursement, medical and marketing strategies and product portfolio decisions. You will work together with HTA and medical teams to improve their strategies and programs;
  • You will ensure the statistical/methodological expertise within interdisciplinary teams working on the planning, implementation, reporting and publication of RWD studies;
  • You will evaluate external real-world data sources for their utility in addressing evidence needs and develop study and protocol designs and statistical analysis plans;
  • You will maintain currency of methods and implement innovative approaches to solve complex problems.

  • University degree in a numerate subject (e.g. statistics, data sciences, mathematics, epidemiology or economics) or comparable study with a main emphasis on quantitative methods
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and conducting prospective and/or retrospective observational studies, conducting health economics analyses and/or health services research studies in the pharmaceutical Industry, academia or consulting (Min 5 years for Senior position)
  • Sound knowledge in statistics and the methodology of evidence-based medicine, epidemiology and modeling
  • Strong process/project management skills
  • Able to build and maintain effective strategic working relationships with internal and external partners to meet business needs
  • Operational knowledge in Statistical Analysis Software (e.g. STATA, R or SAS)
  • Professional working proficiency in German and English
