Our vehicles already use intelligent technologies that are increasingly taking over driving tasks and providing greater safety and comfort. Increasing our lead in autonomous driving requires visionary thinkers and creative developers. Specialists in the fields of machine learning, artificial intelligence, sensor technology and software development will work in expert teams in centres of excellence networked around the world to redefine the limits of what is possible.

We are looking for a Product Owner Data Driven Development - Autonomous Driving (f/m/x) supporting our team in the development of big data cluster applications with particular focus on autonomous driving. Our applications use AWS technologies to process and analyze big data related to autonomous vehicles. You show a passion for autonomous driving and would like to contribute to push ahead this technology? Then join our team!

What awaits you?

  • Close collaboration with the Cluster Product Owner (CPO) and the development teams to refine requirements and develop high-quality, maintainable software for autonomous driving, while considering technical aspects and harmonizing these with our product vision.
  • Effective communication with users within the organization on highly technical issues to understand their requirements and to ensure that their needs and technical constraints are clearly comprehended (this involves active listening, posing clarifying questions and conducting discussions to ensure that all requirements are exactly understood).
  • Acting as a link between technical and non-technical stakeholders by communicating the product vision and requirements in a comprehensibly manner and in line with the superordinate business targets.
  • Technical support and representing the agreed product scope, close collaboration with external feature teams to implement solutions that meet the requirements (participating in technical discussions, analyzing and verifying technical solutions and providing input and feedback to ensure a successful product implementation).
  • Proactive identification and escalation of target conflicts or feasibility issues versus the CPO or the management (all levels), highlighting of potential risks and proposing alternative solutions, if required.
  • You foster a cooperative and inclusive environment by actively collaborating with stakeholders from various teams and departments to bring about agreements, express doubts and facilitate an effective decision-making process.

What should you bring along?

  • A university degree in economics, computer science (informatics) or a related area, equipping you with a solid base of technical and economic concepts as well as experience in product management and product responsibility as a product owner.
  • You use your pronounced analytical and problem-solving skills to cope with complex technical and organizational challenges and to identify effective solutions in line with the product vision and targets.
  • Proven experience as product owner based on collaboration with development teams to refine requirements, prioritize targets and deliver high-quality, maintainable software products.
  • Experience in conducting technical meetings with a team by balancing compromises and making decisions that match the product vision and targets, taking into account the technical feasibility and scalability.
  • Familiar with agile methods, user-focused design and product management tools and frameworks. Willingness to learn new skills and approaches and to adapt them to the specific needs of the users.
  • Passion for the creation of added-value for users and stakeholders by concentrating on user experience, product quality and business figures and ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in order to ensure product focusing and successful product provision.
