Strategic Centre Manager (f/m/d)
permanent position, 80 – 100 %
The Centre of European Transformation is seeking to fill the position of an experienced and innovative Strategic Centre Manager. This role presents a unique opportunity to shape and grow our Centre from the ground up, fostering a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
- Centre Management:
- Oversee daily operations ensuring a productive and harmonious work environment.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure the effective dissemination and utilization of research outputs.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Strategic Leadership:
- Contribute to defining and implementing the Centre-s strategic vision.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including C-level executives, to promote the Centre-s work and secure partnerships.
- Represent the Centre in various forums, presenting our work to a diverse audience.
- Entrepreneurial Development:
- Identify new research opportunities and partnerships that align with the Centre-s objectives.
- Lead the planning (content) and execution of events, forums, and other initiatives to promote the Centre-s visibility and impact.
- Encourage a culture of innovation, facilitating the exchange of ideas to drive the Centre forward.
- Research Advocacy:
- Ensure a thorough understanding of the research process within the team, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Collaborate with researchers to identify key messages and translate findings into actionable insights for a wider audience.
The ideal candidate will have
- Master-s degree in Finance or Economics required (PhD is a plus)
- Min. 5-year experience in a managerial role (within a research or academic setting is a plus)
- Demonstrated strong project management and independent problem-solving skills, sound judgment and strong collaborative decision-making skills
- Ease working across a range of complex issues; ability to learn new topics quickly and move between subjects
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong sense for prioritization and 'getting things done' mentality; strong desire to take ownership and bring in innovative ideas
- Ability to effectively engage and build networks with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in German and English (any other European language is a plus)
