Job Description

Payroll Processing:

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to verify, collect, and organize payroll data before submitting to payroll providers for Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, and Austria - potentially further markets in the future.
  • Verify payroll data including hours worked, deductions, bonuses, and other earnings.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of working time entries and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with local payroll tax and social security regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in payroll and tax laws.
  • Calculate vacation accruals every month for all payroll countries managed.
  • Manage data collection of monthly personnel costs and review the data for accuracy and completeness.

Record Keeping and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports and summaries for the leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to payroll, including employee questions and concerns.

System Maintenance and Improvement:

  • Assist in the maintenance of payroll data in Workday.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the wider People & Culture team, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll processing and integration.
  • Provide support during audits and assist in the preparation of audit materials.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in both German and English language is needed.
  • Proficiency with Workday and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Good understanding of payroll tax and social security regulation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
