In line with its decarbonisation strategy Uniper has the ambition to increasingly produce and supply green products to its customers. New Green Power & Gas is building the new green asset portfolio. The Green Fuels & Infrastructure Business Area is responsible for the development and delivery of production assets for new green fuels such as green methanol and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Within this Business Area the "Green Fuels Assets Nordic" Department is responsible for driving all green methanol and SAF asset projects in the Nordic region that have received a GATE 2 approval. The (Senior) General Project Manager will be assigned to one specific asset project within the Green Fuels Nordic Department and shall fulfill the following tasks and responsibilities within the respective project organization:
- Front-to-end accountability for the delivery of a specific green methanol or sustainable aviation fuel project in the Nordic region based on a clear mandate
- Functionally take care of the project employees including the Project Business Case Manger as well as the Technical Project Manager
- Ensure that the project is delivered on time, on budget and in line with the defined quality specifications
- Ensure the alignment of the project with Uniper's legal, commercial, and governance requirements
- Identify, monitor and actively manage project risks and implement measures to avoid and minimize these risks
- Implement and ensure adherence to Uniper's HSSE standards at all times
- Work closely together with all group functions supporting the delivery of the project (e.g. Controlling, Procurement, Accounting etc.)
- Steer the preparation and alignment of all relevant information and documents for the regular meetings of the Project Committee as well as for major decisions/ approvals (i.e. Strategic Decision "SD", Financial Decision "FD") related to the project
- Represent the project in the Project Committee
- Actively promote the exchange and learning with other green fuels projects within the Green Fuels Nordic Department
- Actively liaise and keep contact with key stakeholders and partners of the project
- University/academic degree in Business Administration, Engineering or comparable
- More than 7 years of business experience in the energy industry and proven track record in senior project management roles of major asset or commercial energy projects
- Ideally experience as General Project Manager in a large energy asset project
- Excellent conceptual and strategic thinking
- Experience with working in international teams
- Distinct team player skills with ability to integrate in diverse cultures and to cope with a fast-changing business environment
- Drive and energy to deliver against set targets
