We are innovation drivers, possibility makers and a reliable partner, all in one.As a Cloud Data Engineer (m/f/d) you will be responsible for the architectural design, development and productive operation of the global analytics platform. Implementing the Azure infrastructure and Databricks workspaces as well as developing the data workflow between different source systems, data lake and data warehouse.
The environment is very forward-looking technologically and was launched in 2023 on a complete greenfield with a cloud-first approach. There is a lot of scope for development here, which you will be allowed to play a significant role in shaping, thus lifting HELM into the data-driven age.
Your tasks:
- You are the first point of contact for the analytics platform as well as for supporting colleagues from IT and business in the data analytics environment. You are also an important part of relevant development projects for the global data platform.
- You coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners in the development and implementation of adjustments to the platform and existing systems.
- You will design, implement and manage cloud-based data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Also a part of your tasks is the further development of an existing cloud data platform.
- You perform data cleansing, matching and merging. At the same time, you will take care of data enrichment, including the establishment and maintenance of cloud data integration processes.
- You will ensure data quality, data integrity and data availability in the cloud environment.
- You guarantee the development and maintenance of automated data validation and cleansing processes. Furthermore, you will build a modern data warehouse in a cloud environment.
- Your tasks will be rounded off by the optimisation and scaling of the databases and the data infrastructure in the cloud.
- Your goal is to develop HELM AG into a "data-driven company".
- You have already gained profound knowledge in the application of cloud data platforms (preferably Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Storage, Azure Active Directory).
- The development and maintenance of data management solutions (ETL, ELT, streaming, etc.) was already part of your tasks in the past.
- You are familiar with data modelling (Data Vault, Kimball, 3NF) and the use of data governance, data catalogue tools and their methods.
- You can bring your in-depth experience with the use of data warehouse automation tools (Datavault Builder, Matillion, WhereScape, BIML) to this position.
- DevOps concepts and tools (Azure DevOps) are not foreign to you.
- You are familiar with data and network security.
- You are proficient in the Python programming language for notebooks for automated data cleansing.
- You enjoy carrying out smaller projects and are well-versed in agile project management methods
