Job Description

As a member of the SeaRenergy group, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, Elbe1 is a leading consultancy company specialized in the development and construction of offshore wind and renewable energy projects. Our company provides a wide array of services that cater to the different project phases - EPCI project management, technical/strategic advisory, market requirements and intelligence, due diligence, benchmarking, as well as technical and processual compliance for offshore wind and renewable energy projects.


  • Lead and execute project certifications within offshore wind project teams.

  • Develop and implement certification plans and track action items to ensure timely and quality document completion, aligned with agreed milestones and schedules.

  • Negotiate with stakeholders on the scope, timeline, format, and content of certification and validation, including defending documented validation justifications to certifiers, suppliers, and authorities.

  • Regularly update certification requirements and documentation, ensuring alignment with design principles.

  • Compare and validate employer requirements with the needs to meet the relevant certification standards.

  • Manage project interfaces with certification bodies, internal teams, and external stakeholders.

  • Provide consultation to internal departments on best practices for certification, problem-solving, and industry-specific cases (e.g., load analysis, flange assessments, wind and ice loads).

  • Support continuous improvement of standards and guidelines.

  • Oversee the certification process and manage interactions with certifiers.

  • Contribute to project management, including planning, tracking progress, coordinating with clients, and documenting results.


  • A completed bachelor's or master's degree with a technical or engineering background.

  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a technical environment, preferably in certification management and engineering.

  • Knowledge of specific certification standards such as IEC, DNVGL-ST, and other relevant norms in the offshore wind sector in Germany and Europe.

  • Experience in the offshore wind or renewable energy sectors.

  • Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying information to various project stakeholders.

  • Dynamic work approach and quick grasp of technical contexts.

  • Proficiency in English and German.

  • Willingness to travel within Europe and potentially beyond.

  • Team player with an interest in working in an international project environment.
