Pricing and Business Intelligence Specialist (m/f/d)

As Pricing and Business Intelligence Specialist (m/f/d), you are responsible for transforming data into insights that can help to improve the value of the business, mainly using Power BI tools. The role entails overall leadership of reporting and analysis needs for Motul Deutschland, including Europe North. It also involves responsibility for pricing and all price lists in the region, including analysis and proposals.


  • Full responsibility for Business Intelligence tools (mainly driven by Power BI) for reporting and KPI management of Motul Deutschland including Europe North in collaboration with all departments‘ team members
    • Developing and managing business intelligence solutions for the organization
    • Providing reports to improve business processes and results
    • Analyzing business requirements and processes and recommending them to the management and executives for implementation
    • Identifying the development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the operations of the organization for efficiency and profitability
    • Developing further projects for the distribution network and KPI tracking of customers
  • Responsibility for Pricing
    • Finding and implementing tools for pricing (ao price lists) management for over 30 countries / over 100 customers
    • Analyzing existing prices / price lists and pricing structure and making proposals for improvement, harmonization and profit optimization
    • Enabling easy visibility and analysis for Head of Sales, Cluster Managers, Supply Chain / Marketing / FI departments pricing and price lists with appropriate tools (e.g. PBI)
  • Management of digital development projects with the Group's Digital and IT teams
    • Implement Group projects on a local basis and share best practices with other business units

  • Bachelor's or master's degree from an university or business school, preferably in Engineering, Economic Informatics or Computer Science
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar role
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities
  • Experience with SQL / SQL Server preferable
  • Experience with data warehouse implementations preferable
  • Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts
  • Knowledge regarding project management, software and statistics – experience is a plus
  • English: Fluent at verbal and written business communication, German is a plus
  • Extensive experience in MS Power BI application, SQL Server and data warehouse systems and software
  • Good practical knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
