ISCC – International Sustainability and Carbon Certification is one of the leading certification systems for sustainability, traceability and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. If you are passionate about sustainability and would like to join our highly motivated and diverse teams to make a difference, we are looking forward to welcoming you as Sustainability Manager - Integrity Management in our team at the ISCC head office in Cologne.

Your main duties will be:

  • You will support the ISCC Integrity Programme which serves to closer monitor the cooperating certification bodies' verification activities and companies' conformities with ISCC requirements
  • You will coordinate ISCC Integrity Assessments in close cooperation with ISCC Integrity auditors, including the selection of candidates and the evaluation of assessment results
  • You will process incoming inquiries about integrity and compliance
  • You will support the risk-based evaluation of ISCC system users and certification bodies in order to outline potential candidates for the ISCC Integrity Programme
  • You will evaluate cases of non-compliance with ISCC requirements as well as determine and communicate applicable sanctions
  • You will process and evaluate complaints and other information on potentially non-conform behaviour
  • You will support in further developing the ISCC system by implementing learnings of the Integrity Programme as well as by updating and developing ISCC system documents and procedures


  • University degree in business management, economics, law, environmental or sustainability studies or similar
  • At least 2 years (to 5 years) of professional experience.
  • First working experience in a related field, ideally at a certification scheme, a certification body, or other audit-related contexts
  • Excellent language skills in both written and spoken English (at least C1) and German (at least B1), additional languages will be of advantage
  • A good understanding of legal regulations, certification systems and/or standard-setting processes
  • Excellent critical thinking and transfer capability
  • A high degree of initiative and very good decision-making ability combined with an independent working style and pragmatic, hands-on attitude
  • Very strong presentation skills as well as the ability to explain complex issues in simple terms and to prepare professional presentations according to target group
  • Excellent communication skills in an international environment with stakeholders at all levels combined with a calm and supportive attitude
  • Willingness to contribute to the continuous improvement process and to drive change
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally
