The Network department is delivering secure and stable network services to the Vattenfall Group. Covering data, voice and video services in LAN and WAN environments. To fulfill regulations most services are delivered by a strong, well established international group of about 70 internal employees. Previously sourced LAN services are being taken into internal deliveries.
The department closely collaborates with parts of the Vattenfall IT organization focusing on Nuclear Services and the Cloud Based Services that also include network deliveries. An extension of the client and services (YIN) delivery into the Wind business with on- and offshore wind farms is currently being developed.
The Client and Services (YINN) Department has a structure of N4 level teams who are jointly creating the services to be consumed by predominately applications (e.g. ERP systems, field services, sales systems) or end users (e.g. supporting mobile working / working from Home). Vattenfall applies agile methodologies and as well waterfall approaches.
Currently the Network Organisation is transforming its delivery model to a software defined delivery with high focus on further automation. This is going to change the way of working, management style as well as the organizational setup.
Your tasks and Resbonsibilities will be:
You will lead this change and lay the foundation for the new network delivery model. Applying an adaptive leadership and management style to ensure secure, stable and cost efficient delivery of network services. By this enabling Vattenfall's business to quickly adapt to changing market conditions and driving our vision of working for fossil freedom.
You will be part of the client and services (YIN) management team that covers in addition the areas of workplace computing, service desk, identity and collaboration, and service management.
We are looking for an experienced and inspiring manager with a sound background in Network technologies (f.i. WAN, LAN, SSE, SASE, SAD. Multidomain Network Automation).
Experience in transitioning from a command line based administration to a fully software defined network is a plus.

- A relevant university degree and preferably at least 5 years of managerial experience managerial experience in a similar role, in complex, international environment
- Preferably you have technical background and broad experience in managing complex network and security solutions for large enterprise environments on an architecture level
- Genuine interest in leadership, capable of motivating and inspiring team members to achieve results
- A pragmatic and solution-oriented style of working under given economic conditions
- Highly performance oriented, service oriented and flexible mindset
- Strong & visible leadership, excellent communication skills, problem solving and collaboration skills ensuring effective collaboration with business leaders/stakeholders/ vendors and within VIT
- An ability to build and maintain trustful working relationships to stakeholders, peers, external partners, Vattenfall colleagues and own staff
- A passion to motivate, energize and drive performance from the team Demonstrated ability to work independently, to take initiative and to follow-through
- Perfect command of the English language is needed in order to be successful in this job
- Vattenfall currently expects employees to be in the office 2 days per week
- Open and flexibel for travelling since frequent travel is required
