If you are passionate about sustainability and would like to join our highly motivated and diverse teams to make a difference, we are looking forward to welcoming you as (Senior) Sustainability Manager in our team at the ISCC head office in Cologne.


Your main duties will be:
  • Lead the development and maintain the certifications solutions for eFuels/RFNBOs across the ISCC systems (e.g. ISCC EU RFNBOs scheme)
  • Monitor and evaluate legislations relevant for eFuels/RFNBOs, including but not limited to EU RED II/III, RFNBOs Commission Delegated Regulation, Low-Carbon Gases Regulations, FuelEU Maritime, ReFuelEU Aviation and other non-EU legislations (e.g. ICAO CORSIA, UK RFNBOs)
  • Engage with current and potential ISCC System Users and ISCC-cooperating Certification Bodies
  • Strategically establish networks in new markets
  • Represent ISCC in relevant for a (conferences, events) and actively promote ISCC certification solutions for these new markets
  • Lead ISCC stakeholder activities for these new markets (e.g. ISCC Technical Stakeholder Committee on RFNBOs)
  • Support conducting relevant trainings (e.g. ISCC RFNBOs Training)
  • Carry out benchmarking as well as develop and manage pilot projects
  • Provide technical support/consultancy to (potential) system users in a timely and professional manner



  • University degree in energy management, environmental engineering, chemical engineer, economics, natural sciences or other related fields
  • At least 3 years professional experience in the sustainable fuels sector, with focus on production and related supply chains
  • Preferred: first experience with eFuels (e.g. production, supply chain, RFNBOs, electricity market), first experience with sustainability certification
  • Proven professional experience in high-level customer support, or similar
  • Service-oriented thinking and excellent communication and networking capability, especially in international environments
  • Excellent language skills in English (both written and spoken), good German, additional language skills will be of advantage
  • Very strong presentation skills as well as the ability to explain complex issues in simple terms and to prepare professional presentations according to target group
  • General IT proficiency and very good working knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities combined with an independent working style pragmatic and hands-on attitude
  • Willingness to contribute to the continuous improvement process and to drive change
