Are you seeking an exciting and challenging role in an international work environment? At the UX (User Experience) & CI (Customer Insights) team, we design meaningful experiences that delight our customers, impact their work positively and generate business value for Heidelberg Materials.

We're recruiting an experienced Service Designer (f/m/d) to join our engaged team.

You will be located in the Headquarters in Heidelberg (Germany) and report to the Director UX & Customers Insights.


YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

  • Critical thinker who can inspire digital teams and stakeholders to think through an ecosystem of products and services that seamlessly work together to provide an exceptional service to the end user.

  • Create a tangible understanding of the user needs and expectations by designing easy-to-understand customer journeys and service blueprints.

  • Analyze existing journeys in both online and offline channels, proposing solutions to drive business value.

  • Execute discovery and research with end-customers as well as internal stakeholders.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and propose actionable insights.

  • Communicate ideas effectively to teams and stakeholders in simple, practical and engaging ways.

  • Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams and colleagues in Research, Design, Engineering, Product and Business.

  • Lead and actively participate in fostering an appreciation for service design within the organization.



YOUR PROFILE

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Service Designer or similar role.

  • Thorough and grounded understanding of user-centered design principles.

  • Hands-on knowledge of experience mapping and service prototyping (e.g., customer journeys, service blueprints, storyboards etc.).

  • Researcher at heart, with knowledge of various learning and discovery UX methods (e.g. user interviews, ethnographic studies etc.).

  • Proficient in moderation and facilitation skills.

  • Proficient with virtual collaboration and visualization tools such as Miro, Mural etc.

  • Self-starter with strong project management and communication skills.

  • Fluent in English.

  • UX Portfolio, a plus.
