Your Team:

At Statista Tech, our mission is to to harness the possibilities of modern technology to bring Statista's data assets to the fingertips of our customers around the globe as conveniently and reliably as possible. Internally, we provide a productive digital workplace environment at Statista globally.


  • Implementation and maintenance of a central Symfony application, providing services and infrastructure for our product teams
  • Support implementation of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and monitoring with CDK or Terraform and Datadog
  • Solution-oriented conception and implementation of services for our high-performance platform with 8.5 million unique users per day
  • Collaborate with other development teams to ensure smooth operation of the central Symfony application for their Statista products offered on the platform
  • Continuous development of the Symfony application on a globally accessible cloud infrastructure, bringing it into modern-era cloud computing
  • Responsibility for software design, programming, code reviews, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of the Symfony application

  • Completed training in IT or studies in computer science or comparable
  • 3+ years of experience in PHP development
  • Strong experience with Symfony framework and its ecosystem
  • Experience working in agile teams
  • "You build it, you run it" mindset
  • Experience in cloud platforms and infrastructure automation like AWS with CDK is a plus
  • Nice-to-Haves: Experience in frontend technologies like React with TypeScript
  • Very good knowledge of English, knowledge of German an advantage
  • Experience in building and maintaining centralized application infrastructures
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and API design
  • Strong understanding of PHP best practices, design patterns, and performance optimization techniques
