You will serve as the primary technical expert within our Business Unit in Germany, focusing on the development stage. Reporting to the Development Technical Office Manager at Corporate level, you will be responsible for the basic engineering of the projects in Germany, ensuring the delivery of all associated outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine the suitability of locations for renewable energy projects.
  • Decide the optimal configuration of the project for that site based on the available information considering CAPEX, OPEX and yield.
  • Prepare preliminary layouts and single-line diagrams in PVCase/AutoCAD for presentation to different stakeholders during the early stages of development. Eventually, electrical connections in LV and MV can be requested.
  • Calculate energy yield assessments via PVsyst for the layout prepared.
  • Calculate preliminary EPC CAPEX of the projects based on the layout prepared, utilizing reference costs for Germany obtained via EPC offers for other projects,
  • Participate in meetings with Business Development Team and M&A team to provide technical assessment for project acquisitions in Germany.

We are looking for a proactive person with a dynamic analytical mind set and the ability to anticipate potential problems and develop contingency plans. In addition to this you should bring the following:

  • Degree in engineering electricity, renewable energy, technology, civil or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project development or engineering in the renewable energy sector.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, optional PVCase, PVSyst
  • Electrical knowledge in Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) is a plus
  • Availability to travel occasionally to analyze greenfield projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
